GINESTAR

Ginestar is located on the river Ebro. It is a traditional Catalan village with broad and narrow streets lined with traditional catalan houses.
Main income is from the farming of Olives, Almonds, Grapes and many fruits including Plums and Peaches.
There are all amenities here, five bars and two grocery stores, also hair salon, mechanics, tabaconist. The larger towns of Mora d'Ebre and Mora La Nova with train links to Barcelona are only a 10 minute drive.
In the summer months it is nice to spend time at the local outdoor swimming pools with picnic area and snack bar and a nice terrace to enjoy a cold drink and relax after your swim. 
There is an nice promenade down to the river through the vines with bench areas for relaxing and a jetty where boats are moored.
Ginestar celebrates many festivals. Its patron saints day 'Sant Marti' is celebrated in November and in September the artesan festival 'Fira del Raure' when the streets are full of many stalls with homemade products inluding different local delicacies like 'Butifarra' a local sausage, olives and marmaldes also basket weaving, lace making, pottery and much much more.
The countryside and views are stunning and the local beaches are a 25 minute drive.
